The World Gliding Championships (WGC) are coming back to Uvalde! There are several events planned before the WGC. These events are open to all pilots. The Two Texas “Nationals” will be Regional contests sanctioned by the Soaring Society of America (SSA) and emphasize fun flying. Uvalde Glide 2023 will be the Pre-World event before the World Gliding Championships in 2024. International pilots and teams are welcome at any of these events. See you in Uvalde! 12 – 14, 2021 Practice and Cross Country Camp
15 – 21, 2021 Contest
Super Regionals with Standard, 15 meter, 18 meter, 20 meter Double Seater, and Open Classes. Tasks will be called, and the contest scored, but the emphasis will be on fun flying, so bring your bird and sample some of the world’s best soaring. Registration is now open on the SSA website.
