Rest Day
Friday night after flying we had the much-awaited International Night. Everyone was also looking forward to the rest day. The party was fantastic, but I think there were a few people that might have let go a little too much. Sampling the different foods and cocktails from around the world was a good experience. We met some of the host families that made our visit even more special. Craig Garnett, the owner of the Uvalde Leader newspaper sponsored the Australian team while Kay Brieben and the rest of the Team USA hosts wore their custom-made shirts to the party. It was good to spend more time with the host families.

Well, tomorrow the flying begins in earnest with a pilot meeting at 9:30. It is going to be a wild ride for the final week of the competition. Tomorrow we will discuss the closeness of the various classes and go over what the long-range weather is bringing. We will also have some pictures and stories about what went on at the Ox Bow Ranch for the rest day.
