Get ready for some great soaring and a good time doing it!
The Uvalde Soaring Association (USA) will once again host a cross country soaring camp ahead of our “Texas Nationals” (aka Region 10 Championships) for those who want to hone their skills or practice for the contest which follows. Join us August 9th through the 14th for the X/C Camp lead by veteran Mark Keene.
August 15th through 21st will be the official soaring competition we call the “Texas Nationals”. In addition to the traditional Regional Soaring Competition which is sanctioned by the SSA and provides points for your seeding on the National Ranking List, we will add some Texas Flair and Fun (and prize money to boot!) to make this the Texas Nationals.
We plan to fly at least 3 classes – 15M Class, Open Class and 20M Double Seater Class with FAI scoring. This is also a good lead up to the 2023 Pre-World Championship and ultimately the 2024 World Soaring Championships (Uvalde’s 3rd WGC).
